Fitbit Alta: 7 Things You Should Know
By Gavin | October 17, 2018
Here are seven things I think you should know about the Fitbit Alta. It is overall a very comfortable fitness tracker, and I believe that is important when you are wearing it 24 hours a day, it is also a very stylish fitness tracker, it comes with changeable bands that being leather silicon and metal that you can buy for it.
I have yet to scratch my screen and have hit it numerous times, the mechanism to close the Fitbit Alta can be a bit challenging.
It is two little metal prongs that you stick into the holes, and if you're just not used to it, it can be kind of hard to get one and off until you get kind of adjusted to that.
The Alta does show call alerts and text alerts, if your text message is rather long, it is only going to show you part of it, you get a dot dot dot after that, and you cannot see those again.
The Fitbit Alta has pretty bad visibility in daylight, this is outside in the shade, and I'm about to show you what it looks like. In direct sunlight it did not even pick up one camera at all, you can kind of see the flashing lights, but most electronic devices do kind of have this problem, but there are other fitness trackers out there, that are much more visible during the day, so this is something you need to be aware of.
It does have great visibility inside, as of most electronic devices are better inside than they are outside for the screens, it comes with its own proprietary charging cable, which some will see as a bad thing because it's not easily replaceable.
It has to be a specific cord and it is a USB, so you can use it with a USB cube or your laptop, and I do like about this, it has a clip.
Because I have heard with the Fitbit charge, and Fitbit charge HR sometimes people would think it's charging, but it's not quite hooked up, so I found that the clip held it nice and place that, I haven't had much of a charging issue with the late, and it does Hart hold a charge for five to eight days.
I'm just going to thank you for watching my seven things you should know about the Fitbit Alta.
